Friends….I welcome you to the beautiful capital of Sweden, Stockholm.

Such a fascinating city Stockholm, with an old and new town, vibrant nightlife and an absolute foodies heaven. I absolutely felt spoilt for choice when it came to eating….amazing variety and authenticity!

My favorite Swedish food was without a doubt the Princess Cake. The lime green marzipan sponge cake is an absolute sweet tooth’s delight. Moist, with a wonderful creamy centre, every slice was absolute bliss. This is one recipe I must try back home!

Stockholm also had many other wonderful sights including the amazing Vasa Museum housing a historic 17th century ship that sunk on its maiden voyage. Truly fascinating, an absolute must if visiting Stockholm!

Like most of the Scandinavian countries, eating in Stockholm was rather expensive, but there is potential to find bargain gems.

I know I will make it back to Stockholm one day, even just for a slice of the Princess Cake!
