Press Food and Wine - 2013
Weekday lunchtime in Adelaide’s CBD, I had one thing on my mind – a juicy, succulent burger. With the large quantity of burger places around Adelaide, I felt rather spoilt for choice.
Press Food and Wine immediately jumped to mind. I’ve heard nothing but praise about the Press Burger and how people rate it as one of the best burgers in Adelaide.
I enter the restaurant and the staff greet me warmly. I perused the menu for about two seconds - I knew what I was here for!
The restaurant wasn’t very busy, just several parties having business lunches and friends catching up. The restaurant’s interior oozed sophistication.
The Press* Burger arrives looking very glorious indeed. Set on a small wooden platter with a side of onion rings, the serving size was just right for a satisfying bite to eat (without over indulging). The burger unquestionably delivered the goods, and then some. The buns were soft and flavoursome and held the ingredients perfectly. The beef patty was beautifully tender and the cheese, bacon, pickles, and lettuce worked in simple harmony. Priced above average at $18.50 – I would happily pay it every time - definitely worth every dollar.
Burger lovers, if you haven’t tried the Press Burger, you must - it’s amazing. If burgers aren’t your thing - visit anyway…..the rest of the menu looked very appealing!
Until next time, happy noms :)
